Policies & FAQ

At Pepperwood Petal, I grow, harvest, and arrange flowers with care, and I want every order to feel just as special when it arrives as it did when I made it.

Because flowers are seasonal and each arrangement is made by hand, there are a few things to know before placing an order.

Fresh Flowers & Arrangements

Will my flowers look exactly like the photo?

Not always, and that's part of the beauty of seasonal flowers.

Photos on the website are examples of the style, color palette, and size of an arrangement. The exact flowers will vary depending on what is blooming and available at the time of your order.

I may substitute a flower, color, or variety when necessary while keeping the overall look, value, and feel of your arrangement as close as possible to what you ordered.

Are your flowers locally grown?

Whenever possible, I use flowers grown here at Pepperwood Petal. Because I grow seasonally, availability changes throughout the year. When something isn't available from my farm, I may supplement with flowers from other trusted sources.

How long will my flowers last?

Fresh flowers are living things, and their vase life depends on the variety of flowers, the temperature, and how they are cared for after delivery or pickup.

Every arrangement comes with flower care instructions to help you enjoy your flowers as long as possible.

Orders, Changes & Cancellations

Can I change my order?

If you need to make a change, please contact me as soon as possible. I will do my best to accommodate changes that are requested before I begin preparing your order.

Once an arrangement has been designed, harvested, purchased, or prepared, changes may no longer be possible.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders for standard arrangements may be cancelled before preparation begins. Once your flowers have been harvested or your arrangement has been designed, cancellations may not be possible.

Because flowers are perishable and many orders are prepared specifically for you, I cannot accept returns simply because you change your mind after an arrangement has been completed or delivered.

For custom orders and events, cancellation terms may be different and will be discussed when your order is booked.

Refunds & Damaged Flowers

Do you offer refunds?

Because fresh flowers are perishable, I generally do not accept returns or offer refunds for flowers that have been delivered or picked up.

However, if there is a problem with your order, please contact me. I want to make it right whenever I can.

If your flowers arrive damaged, wilted, or significantly different from what you ordered, please contact Pepperwood Petal within 24 hours and include a photo of the arrangement.

Each situation will be reviewed individually, and a replacement, credit, or refund may be offered when appropriate.

What if I am unhappy with my flowers?

Please reach out. I care about your experience and would much rather have the opportunity to address a concern than have you disappointed with your order.

Delivery & Pickup

Do you offer local delivery?

Yes! Local delivery is available within 10 miles of Pepperwood Petal for a small delivery fee.

If you're within 10 miles and would like delivery, please ask me about availability and the delivery fee when placing your order.

What happens if no one is home?

Please provide a safe location for your flowers when placing your order.

Because flowers are perishable, Pepperwood Petal is not responsible for flowers that are damaged after delivery because they are left outside, exposed to excessive heat, cold, rain, animals, or other conditions beyond my control.

If there is no safe place to leave your flowers, I may contact you to arrange another delivery time or pickup.

Additional delivery fees may apply.

Can I pick up my order?

Yes, when local pickup is offered for the particular product or order.

Pickup details and timing will be provided with your order.

Custom Orders

Can I request specific flowers or colors?

Absolutely. I love creating something personal.

For custom arrangements, you can share your preferred colors, flowers, style, or overall feeling. Because flowers are seasonal, I cannot always guarantee a particular flower or variety.

I will always do my best to create something beautiful within the season and budget.

Can I order flowers for an event?

Yes. Event and larger orders are accepted based on seasonal flower availability and my schedule.

For larger orders, I recommend reaching out as early as possible. Availability can change quickly, especially during busy flower seasons and holidays.

Event orders may require a deposit or full payment in advance. Specific cancellation and payment terms will be provided with your event quote.

Wholesale & Florist Orders

Wholesale availability is seasonal and limited.

Because Pepperwood Petal is a small flower farm, I cannot guarantee availability of specific varieties, colors, quantities, or stem counts.

Wholesale and florist orders are accepted based on what is growing and what I have available at the time of the order.

Please contact me for current availability.

Dahlia Tubers

Dahlia tubers are living plant material and are sold according to seasonal availability.

Tubers are inspected and packed with care before shipping. Because they are living products, I cannot guarantee that every tuber will grow or produce a particular number of stems.

Once tubers have been shipped or picked up, they cannot be returned simply because they do not grow as expected.

If you believe you received a damaged, incorrect, or unusable tuber, please contact me promptly after receiving your order and include clear photos.

Any replacement or refund will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Dahlia tubers are sold for planting and growing. Growing results can vary based on soil, weather, watering, storage, planting conditions, pests, disease, and other growing conditions outside of Pepperwood Petal's control.

Seasonal Availability

Flowers are seasonal, and availability can change from week to week.

If a flower shown in a photo is not available, I may substitute another flower that fits the same color palette, style, and approximate value.

I will always try to preserve the feeling of the original design rather than simply replacing one flower with another.

Weather & Growing Conditions

Mother Nature has the final say.

Weather, pests, disease, crop failures, and other growing conditions can affect flower availability. Occasionally, something I planned to use may not be available when your order is being prepared.

If this happens, I will make the best possible substitution or contact you if a significant change is needed.
